2026.03.16: 3-4 minutes of this video has been edited out because some music artist is claiming copyright over the campfire sounds because they also use campfire sounds in their song. No one owns the concept of campfire sounds. And I did not use the campfire sounds from their song in my video, mostly because their song only came out three days ago (March 13th 2026 is the Youtube video date and the description says the song was released on March 3rd 2026) and this video is is over a year old (December 7th 2024), but also because the sound effect I use is royalty free from FreeSound. Maybe they used the same royalty free sound effect, but if they did it's illegal for them to claim they own it and claim copyright ownership of it. And it's disgusting of Youtube to allow this claim. The claim meant all my ad revenue from this video was going to them. I could file a claim, tell Youtube this is just a similar sounding sound-effect and no one owns campfire sounds and even if it's the same sound effect it's royalty free... but given how the last time I filed a dispute when Youtube said there was explicit sexual content & nudity on screen during what was just a scroll of my Patreon member names... and I filed a dispute and the AI decided no it was right there was actual sex/nudity on screen even though there was not... I don't trust this dispute going well either and don't want any of my information sent to that channel. So instead I've had to cut out all the part of the video they claimed to own, which was originally minutes 23-27 where there were just campfire sounds and my own breathing. Youtube and it's AI moderators never seen like to ASMR channels, and certainly not small ones like mine. But someone shouldn't be able to claim any sound effect that sounds like theirs, or use royalty free stock sound-effects and claim they own them. I wonder if any other videos of campfire sounds got hit by this... To top it all off at least one of their albums uses AI 'art' for the album cover. Who knows, maybe the music could be AI generated too. Thanks Youtube. The entire full edited version remains on Patreon.
