Obviously, he actually pays for bed and board and Jeanneline's got to live somehow. And there's the matter of charisma, of which the Prince Charming has so much more than our heroes: he works free of charge, labors for the good of the people and also has his own personal minstrel, Gontran, who constantly sings his praises. Gwizdo discovers that the minstrel is in fact a villain out to make a quick buck from the Prince's reputation by hawking souvenir merchandise and keeping the profits for himself.
