Paula Vallar Gárate Wins First Prize at the 32nd Camargo Town Hall Quick Painting Competition The Mayor of Camargo, Esther Bolado, presided over the awards ceremony for the 32nd Open-Air Quick Painting Competition, organized by the Camargo Town Hall's Department of Culture, which took place today, Sunday, on Alday Street in Maliaño. Paula Vallar Gárate was the winner of this year's competition, which featured around one hundred registered artists from across Spain and awarded €3,100 in cash prizes, as well as various gifts. Bolado, who was accompanied by, among others, the Councilor for Culture, José Salmón, led the municipal delegation and congratulated the participants on the quality of their work throughout the day. She thanked them for their interest in participating in the competition and for capturing different locations within the municipality chosen this year for the event. Vallar Gárate was awarded a prize of €1,125 and art supplies; the second prize of €675 and an art publication went to Cynthia Díaz Menéndez; the third prize of €575 was awarded to Zara García Saiz; and the fourth prize of €425 went to Emma Meruelo Ordóñez. There were also three prizes of €100 each for the three finalists: Ángela García Ruíz, Víctor Baños Valderrama, and Samuel Fernández Armas. Likewise, the prize for the youngest participant under 14, consisting of an art set and a sketchbook, was awarded to Índigo Solans García. Additionally, a special recognition award for a participant under 14, consisting of art supplies, was given to Elia Pacho Cañón. The jury was composed of Juan Ignacio Goitia Arbe, Juan José Viota Sainz, Juan Ramón Calleja Peredo, and Daniel Rodríguez Martín. Following the awards ceremony, the exhibition showcasing all the submitted works was inaugurated. It will remain open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, until June 27 (except June 24, a public holiday in Camargo).
