I Couldn't Wait Any Longer! Rockhounding by Boat as the Yellowstone as the River Falls

The June Rise was pretty weak this year, but I couldn't wait to get back out on the river to see what treasures it might have uncovered. Come along with Jim and I as we go on our first boat rock hunt of the 2026 summer season. The river may still be a bit high, but there still are some beautiful rocks to be found! Montana agates, petrified wood, colorful jasper, even some fossils can be found on the gravel bars of the Yellowstone River. It was a beautiful day and a fun hunt. Come along! Enjoying this channel?
