MIDI Realization of Shadow Dancer (Op. 130) for String Orchestra composed by Tatum G. Jepson Composer: Tatum G. Jepson MIDI Realization using Note Performer 4 Orchestral Sound Library Shadow Dancer is a five minute work for intermediate and younger string orchestras set in an overall minor mood. The piece starts with a mischievous, waltz-like idea that is colored by rich harmony and interesting textures. Through a decrease in tempo, the piece gives way to a much slower, and more passionate section filled with intense chromaticism more linear lines. The tempo then winds up again, leading to a short recap of the minor treatment of the melody from the start, and from here, through short transitional material, the work ends in a grandiose, and finally major setting of the melody original melody from before. A short coda recalls the waltz-like idea from the very beginning.
