BJD leader Deepali Das has accused the BJP of indulging in cheap politics and attempting to take credit for a project that she says was the result of years of efforts by late leader Naba Kishore Das. In a video message, Deepali Das claimed that Naba Das had written to the then Chief Minister and Chief Secretary in 2013 demanding the establishment of a Heart Hospital in Jharsuguda. She alleged that BJP MLA Tankadhar Tripathy is now trying to claim credit after the hospital has become fully functional. Responding to the allegations, Tankadhar Tripathy said nobody is interested in taking credit and questioned why the hospital remained non-functional for so many years despite Naba Das serving as Health Minister. He further claimed that the hospital is becoming operational today due to the efforts made by the BJP government after coming to power.
