Landscaping the Sky: Green Roofs in the City - Plant One On Me — Ep 082

I first met Marni in the spring of 2018 when I visited Kingsland Wildflowers, a 22,000 square foot rooftop garden just 2 blocks from my house. I was surprised I had never heard of Kingsland before, but I have to admit: it's not situated in a "destination hotspot" in New York City! I'm glad I went, however, because the green roof is not only impressive, but it serves as an incredible juxtaposition to its industrial surroundings. I hope you enjoy this episode! __ Homestead Brooklyn’s Plant One On Me is an informal question-and-answer series on all your green home and gardening tips as well as insider tours, interviews and travelogues.
