This time, my husband and I went on a motorcycle tour in search of spectacular views of the natural beauty of Miyagi Prefecture in Tohoku. First, we headed to the morning market, held only on Sundays and holidays at Yuriage Port in Natori City. We enjoyed fresh, locally caught seafood while watching the beautiful sunrise. Next, we visited the nearby riders' shrine, Yuriageminato Shrine. We spent time immersed in the shrine's mystical atmosphere. Finally, for the final stop on our motorcycle trip, we headed to Saihoji Temple, famous for being the site of Teikyo-san (Jogi Nyorai). We indulged in the popular gourmet food along the approach to the temple, while also enjoying the quaint temple scenery, the five-story pagoda, and the unspoiled Japanese landscape. Although we started in the cold early morning, we toured Miyagi Prefecture's spectacular views and cuisine, a world that only a motorcycle can offer.
