Oscar Mulero is a Spanish DJ, producer and label owner born in Madrid, Spain, in 1970. He became involved in electronic music during the late 1980s, initially playing EBM, industrial, new wave and early techno in Madrid clubs such as New World and Overdrive. These experiences coincided with the emergence of Spain's underground electronic music scene and marked the beginning of his professional career. In 1994, Mulero founded The Omen Club in Madrid, one of Spain's first venues dedicated exclusively to techno music. The club became an important reference for the development of Spanish techno during the 1990s and established Mulero as one of the country's leading resident Djs. In 2000, he founded Warm Up Recordings, followed in 2004 by PoleGroup Recordings, two labels that became central platforms for Spanish underground techno. Alongside his solo work, Mulero developed several collaborative and audiovisual projects under aliases including Trolley Route, Dr. Smoke, Second Skin, Selección Natural and Spherical Coordinates, expanding his work into ambient, experimental and audiovisual performance. Still active today, Oscar Mulero continues to perform internationally as a DJ, producer and label owner while remaining closely associated with the international underground techno scene and he is respected for be one of the last authentic techno DJ of the scene. Florida 135 is an electronic music nightclub located in Fraga, Aragón, Spain, and is widely recognized as the oldest continuously operating nightclub in the country and all over the World. The origins of the venue date back to 1942, when Juan Arnau Cabases and Francisca Ibarz founded the Florida Cinema. During the following decades, the venue evolved from a cinema into a dance hall hosting live orchestras before embracing the emerging nightclub culture of the 1970s. In 1973, the venue reopened as Florida Discotheque Fraga, replacing live orchestras with DJs and becoming one of the earliest discotheques in Spain. After a major fire in 1976, the club was rebuilt and, in 1985, completely redesigned by Catalan designer Xavier Regàs. It was then renamed Florida 135, a reference to 135th Street in the Bronx, New York, with an interior inspired by the films Blade Runner and West Side Story. The club is closely associated with the Arnau family, who later created projects including Monegros Desert Festival and elrow, further strengthening Florida 135's role within the international electronic music scene. Today, Florida 135 remains active and continues to host internationally recognized DJs, maintaining its long-standing reputation as one of Spain's most important electronic music venues.
