Dragontail Peak, Backbone Ridge (5.9), P2 (the offwidth)

I followed the offwidth pitch. This was my first time climbing a crack that allows you to knee-jam most of the way up. Although knee jams definitely make the climbing very secure, you can probably avoid knee jams for most of the climb since the crack is in a corner, and footholds on the right side of the wall let you sort of use chimney techniques rather than crack technique. You can see that most of the upper part of the crack really does need a #6 cam, and while you could use big bros, they're less practical since you can bump the single #6 pretty much the entire way up the pitch and still have a well protected climb.
