"The Future of Diagnosing and Treating Dementia Due to Alzheimer’s Disease" and "From Bedside to Bench and Back Again: Post-Bariatric Hypoglycemia Etiology and Treatment" In this "Science Now" session of Grand Rounds, two faculty members share updates from their research programs. Cynthia Carlsson, MD, MS, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Carlsson's research focuses on the effects of vascular risk factors and their treatments on cognition and biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease in people at risk for dementia. The title of her talk is "The Future of Diagnosing and Treating Dementia Due to Alzheimer’s Disease." Dawn Belt Davis, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses on pancreatic beta cell biology. The title of her talk is "Post-Bariatric Hypoglycemia Etiology and Treatment."
