When we arrived, there was already deep snow on the ground, but it made for an absolutely beautiful setting to camp in. In this week’s truck camping adventure, Toby and I explore the snowy campground, take in the incredible waterfall views, and spend some time learning about the history of Pattison State Park and how the park came to be. That evening, we cooked up a steak over the coals, settled in for the night, and listened as the weather forecast continued to get worse. By the following night, the NOAA weather radio was calling for a blizzard warning, with strong winds and heavy snow moving in overnight. What started as a peaceful winter camping trip in Wisconsin quickly turned into a true snowstorm camp as the blizzard rolled through while we were sleeping in the truck camper. If you enjoy truck camping, winter camping, truck camper adventures, camping in snowstorms, waterfalls, and peaceful outdoor escapes, I think you’re going to love this one.
