Today on @amarmaternidade we spoke with Daniela (@alycia.valentina), who is the mother of little Alycia, who is 2 years old. Motherhood has always been a dream for Daniela, but the doctors said that it would not be possible. Going against medical advice, at 38 years old she became pregnant, but her pregnancy was complicated. Daniela felt very ill and was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and her baby was born at six months, weighing 670 grams and measuring 33 centimeters. Alycia was intubated for 20 years and was diagnosed with West Syndrome, cerebral palsy, pulmonary dysplasia and epilepsy. Daniela told us her whole story in detail and how Alycia is doing now.
