TAROT GARDEN FULL GUIDED TOUR, TUSCANY, ITALY - The shocking Niki de Saint Phalle story

The garden's real story is artist Niki de Saint Phalle's personal story which you may find sad and shocking. The garden was created by the French-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle. Location: Pescia Fiorentina, Tuscany, Italy. The park was opened to the public in 1998. Artist Niki de Saint Phalle was inspired by Antoni Gaudi's Parc Güell in Barcelona and decided to create a similar design for her monumental sculpture park - based on the tarot. In 1979, she acquired some land on top of an Etruscan ruin in Tuscany, about 62 miles northwest of Rome. Niki then built the Tarot Garden containing twenty-two monumental figures representing her idea of the greater Mysteries of the Tarot. Sculptures are constructed of reinforced concrete and are covered with mirrors and ceramics.
