Aerokits Sea Queen R/C Model Boat with Astro Flight 40 Marine Motor
I built this classic, British Aerokits all-wood Sea Queen model in 1968. I installed a number of different I.C. engines in it, including a Gannet 15cc 4-cycle spark ignition engine. In 2007, I installed an Astro Flight Marine 40 geared brushed motor, with an effective Kv of about 450 rpm/volt. On 8 lipo cells (32 volts) and a Prather 235 prop, the boat has a top measured speed of 18.5 mph with a 1006 watt input. This semi-V hulled model is very sea worthy and handles well.
