(02:20–04:48) A distinction is made between intellectual knowledge and knowledge through familiarity or connaturality (according to St. Thomas Aquinas). To know Christ as the Beloved means to live with Him, to understand His joys, sorrows, desires, and feelings, just as a mother knows her child. (04:48–08:11) Spousal spirituality demands sharing in the life of Christ. The consecrated woman is called to enter into communion with what Christ lived, did, taught, and suffered, making her existence a Eucharistic life of continuous union with Him. (08:11–24:51) What Christ experienced: exclusion, rejection, humility, work, poverty, and freedom. From His birth, He was rejected and persecuted. He lived hidden as a craftsman in Nazareth and displayed extraordinary freedom in the face of the pressures of power, wealth, and the opinions of others. (24:51–39:20) What Christ did: He opened a new path for humanity, performed exorcisms, healings, and manifestations of his divinity (epiphanies), such as baptism, walking on water, and, above all, resurrection. These actions reveal that he is true God and the vanquisher of evil. (35:25–38:52) Christ's healings are not only physical miracles but also spiritual signs. As in the case of the man born blind, they point to a deeper reality: restoring the person so that they can recognize and contemplate the Messiah. (39:20–44:34) What Christ taught: the logic of gratuitousness versus the logic of transaction. While the world responds according to what it receives, Christ loves and gives freely, even from the cross. The cross is the ultimate expression of a love that does not depend on human response. (44:34–51:17) Christ taught about the Kingdom of God, divine fatherhood, and eternal hope. The Kingdom is not a human construct but a work of God within us. Recognizing God as Father frees humanity from desperately seeking approval or affection from others. (51:17–56:20) What Christ suffered: rejection, indifference, misunderstanding, physical, emotional, and spiritual pain. His deepest suffering was witnessing how God's love was rejected by humanity. In this sense, the expression of Saint Francis of Assisi is evoked: “Love is not loved.” (56:20–57:31) The conclusion of the retreat is that consecration does not simply consist of working for Christ, but of being his spiritual spouse: living with him, sharing his destiny, participating in what he lived, did, taught, and suffered, and entering into an ever-deepening communion with the Beloved. *** BECOME A MEMBER of the Channel!
