#vinmec #kinhnguyet #roiloankinhnguyet #roiloankinh Menstruation is a natural physiological phenomenon that every woman experiences when she grows up. Many girls during puberty have menstrual abnormalities, often called menstrual disorders in puberty. So how to overcome this phenomenon? Menstrual disorders is a general term for all phenomena such as irregular menstruation, menorrhagia, amenorrhea and scanty menstruation,... Normal menstruation when girls in puberty start menstruating from 11-18 years old, the normal menstrual cycle is about 22-35 days, the average is 28-30 days, the menstrual period is from 3-7 days. The amount of menstrual blood is normal if you have to change sanitary napkins 3-5 times a day. The color of the menstrual blood is bright red, not clotted, has a strong smell, and is not fishy. Menstrual disorders in puberty will have symptoms such as: Primary amenorrhea: This condition occurs when a girl is over 18 years old and has not yet had her period. Secondary amenorrhea: No menstruation for more than 3 months if the previous period was very regular and no menstruation for more than 6 months if the previous period was irregular. Pseudo-amenorrhea: A condition in which menstrual blood still exists but the hymen is closed or the cervix is stuck so the menstrual blood does not flow out, also known as amenorrhea. Menorrhagia: If the menstrual period lasts more than 7 days. Low menstruation: Very little menstrual blood. Heavy menstruation: More menstrual blood than normal, over 60 ml in the entire menstrual period. Lack of menstruation: Menstrual cycle is longer than 35 days. Fast menstruation: Short menstrual cycle is less than 21 days. Menorrhagia: Very heavy menstrual blood, over 150 ml in a few days causing dizziness, fatigue and sometimes fainting. Menorrhagia: Bleeding unrelated to menstruation. Menorrhagia: Menstrual bleeding lasting more than 7 days. Dysmenorrhea: Severe abdominal pain during menstruation, which can cause fatigue and affect daily activities. Early menstruation: occurs in girls who have their period before the age of 10. When girls first enter puberty and begin to menstruate, they need to pay more attention to taking care of their bodies, especially their private areas. The following advice can help avoid menstrual disorders during puberty: In case of abdominal pain during menstruation, when you go to a specialist, your doctor may prescribe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers (paracetamol, ibuprofen, diclofenac...) or combined oral contraceptives. Do not use drugs without a doctor's guidance. Amenorrhea: May be due to nutritional and psychological disorders. Addressing nutritional problems and resolving psychological issues can help improve amenorrhea. However, see a specialist for specific guidance and treatment. Abnormal bleeding or spotting may be due to infection or abnormalities in the cervix. Examine and treat if there is a reproductive tract infection, and perform cervical cytology tests to screen for cancer. Cases such as scanty menstruation, frequent menstruation, scanty menstruation or other manifestations of menstrual disorders also need to be closely monitored. If there are signs of affecting health, see a doctor immediately. In addition, it is also necessary to develop a scientific diet, drink enough water, limit alcohol, beer, stimulants; increase physical exercise; clean the private area properly, do not douche deep into the vagina. Change underwear 1-2 times/day, choose the right size underwear During menstruation, change sanitary napkins every 4-6 hours. Do not overuse daily sanitary napkins. However, do not worry too much about irregular menstrual cycles because irregular menstruation for 1-2 years when starting menstruation can be normal.
