Upcycling Old Cloth into a Beautiful Sashiko Apron
I upcycled old cloths into a beautiful sashiko apron, giving new life to stained and worn fabrics. I stitched the Sashiko pattern and carefully assembled the pieces for a cozy, handmade finish. This apron is both practical and charming, and I’ll be using it from today! For this apron, I joined three pieces for the front and two pieces for the back. This allowed me to place the stained parts of the front fabric on the sides. I also shifted the seam positions between the front and back so they wouldn’t overlap. Overlapping seams can make the fabric too thick and difficult for Sashiko stitching, so I tried to keep the surface as flat as possible. This is how I dyed the fabric⬇️ Dyeing Old Fabric to Give It New Life • Dyeing Old Fabric to Give It New Life | Sc...
