How Do You Fix THIS?! 1957 Chevy Rust Nightmare. Door hinge rusted away

Rustella — the 1957 Chevy 210 station wagon that just keeps on giving… rust. This week we dive headfirst into the driver-side upper door hinge… or what’s left of it. The hinge area and surrounding metal aren’t just rusty — they’re basically dust. Crumbling, falling apart, nearly turned back into soil. It’s honestly mind-boggling. So we cut out the cancer, dig through the shop scrap pile, fabricate new metal, and weld it all back together — making the door stronger than factory ever dreamed of. But we don’t stop there. Next up is the front driver-side inner fender. Not only is it full of rust holes, but we quickly discover this car was wrecked sometime in its past. The tell-tale sign? A crinkled inner fender folded over on itself. Did that stop Max? Nope. A little prying, a lot of hammering, and well… it’s better. We finish it off with a quick coat of paint, then scrape and paint the driver-side fresh air ductwork while we’re at it. All in all, it’s a crazy, rust-filled, fun episode of saving what most people would’ve scrapped long ago. Love to have ya'll join in on our adventures.
