Cleanup Sluice Comparison: Tailings Tested for Each Sluice. Dream Mat vs Devon Gold VDR vs Others.

This video is my best attempt at an un-biased third party test of several popular clean up mats tested against rough top conveyor belt, miners moss, and a wool blanket that absolutely stunned me with the results! This video was filmed over a 14 hour day, as the tailings of every single test needed to be run through the exact same cleanup sluice to compare the losses from each mat. I have included a picture of the losses from each test run taken next to a dime for scale. Overall the mats performed well, but some stood out with better recovery rates that others, or much fewer concentrates to pan out at the end of the run. If I had to choose just one, it would have to be a balance between minimizing concentrates, and still getting good enough gold recovery. Perhaps a hybrid system would work best with the mat with the least concentrates coming first, followed by a mat with better recovery. At the end of the day, most of these mats do well enough for hobby prospecting, and a long enough sluice of any mat would strip a high percentage of your gold from your concentrates. This was a lot of work to put together and edit, but I think there is valuable information here that I have learned through the process.
