Gran COMPETENCIA de CHACMEO Ancestral - Milpo Huancavelica Perú | Isabel Quispe

The chacmeo competition was organized by the community of Milpo in Huancavelica, Peru. Eleven communities from populated centers and hamlets competed in this traditional ancestral chacmeo. The chacmeo competition is an ancestral and traditional festival, primarily in the high Andean regions of Peru, where groups of farmers compete by turning the soil with the chaquitaclla, an Inca foot plow, to prepare the ground for planting potatoes.   / isabelquispe1703
