Nearly 90 years old, Wilhelm Pahls looks back on an eventful life, from his wild motorcycle days and profound crises to a surprising conversion and worldwide ministry as an evangelist. Wilhelm Pahls delivered this talk on November 2, 2025, at the Garrison Church in Celle. It was a special evening during which he offered insights into God's work in his life. He recounts how, as a young man, he raced through villages on his Horex 400, accumulating debts and yet remaining inwardly empty. A small evangelistic booklet left behind by a vacuum cleaner salesman became the turning point in his life. In his father's office, he knelt down, confessed his sins to Jesus, and experienced a true conversion and rebirth. From a headstrong young man, he became an evangelist who traveled to many countries with the Bible in his hand. Among other things, his ministry led to the founding of the Bruderhand Mission in Oppershausen and the Free Evangelical Church in Wienhausen. Thousands heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and many found a living faith as a result.
