Willow Springs 991.1 Porsche GT3 track record Porsche Owners Club

For about a year, this car held the Porsche Owners Club track record at Willow Springs. It's a 991.1 Porsche GT3 on Hoosier R7's. I've gone about a half second faster than this at a PCA San Diego time trial, but this was my best effort today. The lap is right around 1:26 in a stock street car with a racing alignment and good tires - nothing else. It was a super fun session because I get passed by a 997.2 Cup Car and it sounds epic when it goes by. I tried to keep up, but you can see the speeds in turn 8 and 9 are vastly higher, effortlessly, in a Cup Car on slicks. No comparison. My record was recently broken by a more recent generation car, but I think this is about the fastest recorded lap in a 991.1 GT3. If anyone has seen a faster lap in this same model-year car, I would love to study the video, so please share. I hope this helps anyone looking to go to Big Willow and hustle the car.
