Dutch writer and talkshow host Adriaan van Dis interviews Indian-born English writer Salman Rushdie about his controversial novel "The Satanic Verses" (1988), mere weeks before the infamous fatwa was issued by Iranian leader Ayatollah Khomeini (who, according to his own son, had never actually read the novel).
