NYCT Q32 Bus Ride: 2018 New Flyer XD40 7703 from Jackson Heights to Midtown (Penn Station)

Taken on 5/7/22. Video of a ride on 2018 New Flyer XD40 7703 operating on the Q32 from Roosevelt Avenue & 82nd Street to Penn Station. Bus 7703 is a loaned bus from Jamaica Depot, and sports the modern blue + gold scheme, which is uncommon to see on a Casey Stengel (CS) route. Since all the XD40s at CS were pre-2016 units, they have the traditional blue stripe scheme. Due to a shortage of buses at CS depot, Jamaica and Queens Village depots have been loaning buses on a temporary basis for use on on CS routes. The Q32 route is an interborough bus route operating between Jackson Heights, Queens, and Midtown Manhattan. In Queens, most of its route follows the (7) subway line. While in Manhattan, buses spend most of their time along East 60th Street / 5th Avenue (southbound) or Madison Avenue / East 59th Street (northbound). Service travels via the Queensboro Bridge between both boroughs.
