Back Extensions Are Fantastic (Posterior Chain/Hamstrings)

"Without back extensions, you will die." This is one of the best hamstring and glute movements out there, and it's a nice break from deadlifting. Instead of COMPRESSING the spine, this movement actually helps to DECOMPRESS it. I suggest 2-4 sets on lower body days for 6-10 reps each. You can set a bar on the ground and do it Pete Rubish style:    • Big On The Basics: Back Raises with Pete R...   or you can do it with the bar on your back for more range of motion. Both are good, just realize that they are different movements especially in terms of loading. Give these a shot...they're an excellent way to blow up your hip extension power, which is important for almost any athletic endeavor.
