I take viewers along on my travels in my wheelchair accessible campervan. In this video, I interview my friend Alex Uppenkamp, a quadriplegic who became injured after a mountain bike crash — and who still lives an incredibly active outdoor life. From adaptive mountain biking to surfing and diving, Alex continues to push limits after a spinal cord injury. Together, we also head out on an adaptive mountain bike ride that doesn’t go as planned. What starts as a normal ride quickly turns into a serious challenge when the trail becomes far more rocky and technical than expected. With limited options, we’re forced to problem-solve on the fly — and ultimately get carried down the trail on our adaptive mountain bikes.
