Amazing Discoveries from Göbekli Tepe: Photo Gallery | Ancient Architects
I recently made a video titled 10 Incredible Göbekli Tepe Discoveries You May Never Have Heard Of, where I showed you some of the more obscure finds from this truly ancient megalithic site: • 10 INCREDIBLE Göbekli Tepe Discoveries You... Situated in modern-day Turkey, Göbekli Tepe dates to between 12,000 and 10,000 years ago, which is known as the Pre-Pottery Neolithic period of Anatolian history. The site is truly magnificent and the dozens of beautifully decorated T-shaped pillars within this enormous archaeological site is what got the world’s attention and made it famous, but as my previous video showed, there is a lot more to Göbekli Tepe that carved limestone pillars. Some of the finds are still little understood as to what they actually are, what they portray and what their meaning is, having various possible interpretations, so what I’m going to do in this video is simply show you a gallery of the many archaeological discoveries from the past two decades, from decorated stone pots, figurines, ornaments and so on. All images are taken from Google images and the below sources for educational purposes only, to raise awareness for the incredible site of Göbekli Tepe. Many of the photographs belong to the German Archaeological Institute and are credited to K. Schmidt, DAI, N. Becker, DAI, D. Johannes, DAI, I. Wagner, O. Dietrich. I have used these images as they are the only ones available and they are used for educational purposes only to encourage people to take an interest in the subject of their work. I would urge you to visit https://tepetelegrams.wordpress.com/ to read their work in more detail and follow the outstanding work of the Göbekli Tepe experts.
