¡NO SE DEJÓ! Delia Espinoza encaró a congresista denunciado por cobrar doble sueldo

Delia Espinoza once again stood firm before Congress and, above all, before José Cueto, one of the five congressmen accused of misconduct in the double-salary case. While appearing before the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations, a mocking comment made by Cueto—which wasn't fully audible on the broadcast but was recorded—attempted to discredit her by insinuating that she was under investigation for money laundering. In an interview with journalist Víctor Caballero, Espinoza clarified what happened and called the claim slanderous. She reminded everyone that she herself had requested the Comptroller General's Office to review her assets and that no irregularities were found. She even publicly advised Cueto to "stop watching so much Willax." But the clash didn't end there. Espinoza also attempted to explain to the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations why she opened a criminal case related to the law that allows former members of the Armed Forces to... and the PNP—including José Cueto, Jorge Montoya, José Williams, Roberto Chiabra, and Alfredo Azurín—simultaneously collect their pensions and their congressional salaries. She asserted that she never questioned the double remuneration itself, but rather that the approved ruling had no cap and that, had she not noticed this loophole, she would have later been sued for dereliction of duty. According to the suspended prosecutor, her warning about the potential abuse of power was enough for those involved to file a constitutional complaint against her without respecting due process, even if the congressmen felt the Prosecutor's Office was in error. Espinoza asserted that the constitutional complaint was filed directly against her, demonstrating once again her theory that there is a congressional dictatorship in the country.
