There are financial security, financial stability, financial independence, and financial freedom, if we talk about them step by step. So, the second level of financial protection or financial goal is financial stability. Financial stability is slightly different from the level of financial security. If financial security is saving enough money for six months or a year in advance (we'll use six months for simplicity), then financial security is having enough money for six months. Financial stability is when you already have money, when your income sources are structured to cover your needs, plus financial security. Financial stability is the next stage, the next level on the ladder, when there's a cash reserve and established sources of income that cover current needs plus a level of financial security. Basically, what counts as financial stability? Here's what can be considered. First, food expenses, rent expenses, if you rent, or utilities and services if you rent. These include medical expenses or any existing insurance, clothing expenses (so that half is covered), and mandatory payments—for example, if you have children in daycare or school, or any regular payments necessary to maintain life—this is the level of financial stability. To summarize, financial stability is when there's a level of financial security, i.e., saving enough money for six months in advance plus established stable sources of income that cover the current standard of living. Generally speaking, financial stability is very easy to achieve. If you already have sources of income, add the level of financial security to them, i.e. Saving money is the key to financial stability. Financial stability that allows you to sustain it. That's the difference. It turns out that to achieve financial stability, you need to create stable sources of income. What do I mean by stable sources of income? A stable source of income isn't just one source. Typically, it's a source of income that consists of several streams. Why is this necessary? We're talking about financial stability, so if you were laid off from work, you'd have, say, four other sources of income that generate income. If you only have a salary, and that salary covers your monthly expenses, plus you have a safety net, that's not financial stability. Financial stability is having a salary plus other sources of income. I recommend having at least three, but preferably five, to ensure stability. What could these be? These could be affiliate programs, such as agency programs, commissions, or interest; a job, your own business, or a venture that generates income; Any investment income, no matter what, even a bank deposit that simply earns interest. And a fifth source of income, for example, some freelance work that's temporary, some projects that can be suddenly added, or ones that are done periodically. Having five different sources of income can be called a level of financial stability, because even if one of them ceases, there's still a certain cash reserve at the level of financial security, plus additional sources of income that contribute to this level of financial stability. That's what financial stability is. From a mathematical perspective, it's quite simple, but from an organizational perspective, you'll have to build these things. On the other hand, again, as with financial security, the level of financial stability is an internal feeling.
