A visit to RUTHANN ZIMMERMAN'S HOMESTEAD in Iowa
For the last eight years, in early July we pack up and make a family trek out west to Montana where we spend a few weeks at a lodge in Paradise Valley, just outside of Livingston. And every summer we try to pick different routes where we can stop and visit friends along the way. This year at the end of our first long day of driving we stopped in Northeast Iowa to spend the night with RuthAnn Zimmerman and her family on the beautiful homestead where they’ve lived for twenty five years. RuthAnn and her husband Elvin grew up Mennonite and though they left that life decades ago, they continue to live in the same community and pass down the values, skills and work ethic they grew up with to their own children... ---------------------------- Learn more about & follow RuthAnn's YouTube channel "Homesteading With the Zimmerman's" at@Ruthannzimm or on Instagram at / ruthannzimm
