In today's episode, we'll take a dip in a cold waterfall. We'll show you a cool campsite in Lefkada. We'll do laundry in town and eat a delicious gyros :) Welcome to another episode. After morning shopping, breakfast, and a bit of laziness :), we'll show you our campsite. Vassiliki Beach Campsite is located near the beach of the same name in southern Lefkada. Access by caravan is quite good (there's one major hill, but for Greece, it's a minor thing :) ). The campsite was subject to coronavirus restrictions regarding vehicle distancing. Vehicles were supposed to have a 5-meter gap on each side, which was a first for us, but it created a feeling of privacy. The campsite is practically entirely under trees, which adds to its charm. As usual, there are designated areas for washing dishes and laundry. We highly recommend this place. Unfortunately, the campsite didn't have a washing machine, so we had to go to a nearby town to get a laundry. A single wash cost 6 EUR and took 50 minutes. Next, we decided to visit the Dimossari Waterfalls near the town of Nidri. After turning off the main road, there are signs to the parking lot. We walked past a restaurant nestled under a huge plane tree and continued along the gorge, using footbridges, to reach the beautiful waterfalls. First, there was a smaller one, and then, to add to the fun, a larger waterfall appeared. Despite the truly icy water, we managed to swim. I think we need to consider winter swimming :) Visit the waterfalls is completely free!!! There's not even a parking fee. After this wonderful natural attraction, we returned to the campsite and took a short walk into town. The boys had some ice cream, and after a cold swim, we needed something to eat. We stumbled upon the best gyros we've had so far on this trip. In Greece, gyros is chicken or pork wrapped in pita bread with vegetables (tomato, onion), tzatziki sauce, and fries.
