I never met Charles Evans so haven’t been able to thank him for having the imagination and resilience to make these events happen. Both the Wimbledon South Side Hustle and the Notte Del Super exist because he willed them into existence. He didn’t do it on his own Jamie Wheatley also was instrumental in making it a reality and it is Jamie who continues them. Charles was one of the 280 million people with depression worldwide,that is five percent of the population ! At the very heart of these events was the idea that bringing people together through there interest in cars would be good for us all . It works it does help. Charles Evans died in 2022 from suicide. So we not just honer his memory with these events but also his idea that bringing people together and building community is good for them. I think it’s why the events have such a warmth to them.
