Introduction to Karting Data by Point Karting - Live Webinar 2/23/22

In this live webinar, Roger Caddell (AiM Sports National Training Manager) and Eric Gunderson of Point Karting introduce karting data with a deep discussion of What is Data Acquisition, Why Use Data Acquisition, and finally Why use Data Acquisition. We discussed the concept of following this path when studying data; What Happened, Where did it happen, and Why did it happen. If these questions are answered fully, you are much ahead in this competitive world of kart racing. After the talk, Roger opened a data file in both the older Race Studio 2 Analysis (RS2A) software and shared some tips and tricks. Then Roger open the same data in the new Race Studio 3 Analysis (RS3A) program that is just now replacing RS2A. We showed how to read the Time Compare bar as well as speed traces and Throttle position and Lateral G sensors. The webinar was finished up with an open question session that was very good and lots of questions were answered.
