Yewbarrow, Red Pike & Pillar. Lake District 22nd May 2019
A circular walk from Wast Water in the Lake District. The walk starts from Overbeck Bridge Car Park at the bottom of Yewbarrow and first heads up to the summit Yewbarrow. From Yewbarrow I walk along the summit ridge to the path that goes off to the left of the fell towards Dore Head. From Dore Head I follow the path up to Red Pike (826m) From Red Pike I then follow the path around the valley to Wind Gap before climbing up to Pillar (892m) The views from Pillar over Ennerdale and looking down to Pillar Rock are superb. From the summit of Pillar I descend using the Black sail Pass route back down to Wasdale Head. Distance is around 9.5 miles.
