Pedro Delgado Pinarello Neo Retro tribute road bike build and ride
Pedro Delgado Pinarello Neo Retro tribute road bike build and ride. Subscribe: / bikeituk As a kid Pedro Delgado, was one name I'd hear mentioned lot on the TV watching the Tour. If you are unaware Pedro Delgado won the 1988 Tour de France, and rode the tour eleven times. In 1983 the Reynolds team participated and had a great team kit with contrasting coloured team bikes. Pedro's Spanish charm and style this a team I'll never forget. The bicycle he used was a beautiful Italian Red Pinarello race bike. In this Neo-Retro build we take a vintage steel Pinarello bicycle frame and transform it to look just like Pedro Delgado’s team bike but with a modern twist. Is this the best build yet? I collaborated with some amazing people to bring this neo-retro tribute bike to life. A very big thank you to the following, Pete Matthews 1968 GB champion also known as the master wheel builder. For many years including winning races Pete Matthews built race wheels for many of the winning professionals which earned his the name the master wheel builder. Mark from MRCreations is a name that many of our viewers know. We have used him many times before and has never failed to impress us with his air brushing ability. Within the bicycle forums I'd been noticing the name Stephen Needle, his name also got mentioned some time ago on a previous video when I visit Mitch and his amazing secret bicycle collection. Stephen Needle is an absolute wiz when it comes to engraving and polishing groupsets. The combined help really brought this project together bonding friendships and celebrating the new with old within the cycling industry. The video shows the full bike build and an epic ride. Plus hints, tips and help with your own projects along the way. Watch as this Pinarello is completely transformed to a classic looking neo-retro 11 speed road bike.
