Student stories - Natalie

Treloar’s is a School and a College based in Hampshire providing education for extraordinary, full-of-potential disabled young people and adults. Every young person deserves an education which sets them up for life, but sadly, face many challenges in receiving that education. At Treloar’s, we look beyond the disability to help our students fulfil their potential. We set out to create short student films, each with an aim of creating an opportunity for young disabled people to present themselves as individuals, encompassing their identity as a disabled person, but also showing that they are so much more than their disability. In this short film we meet Natalie and her family and learn about her journey to Treloar's. Natalie has cerebral palsy and has been at Treloar School for over a year. During this time, she has grown in her independence and confidence and really enjoys coming to school. Our amazing fundraisers make a real difference to the lives of the young people here at Treloar’s.
