He emphasized that what is delaying the current announcement is this "lost trust." For his part, former US Republican leader Joe Borrelli said that the Trump administration and Vice President Vance are fully prepared to travel and sign the agreement, noting that the contradictions in recent Iranian statements reflect real divisions within the power structure in Tehran. Researcher specializing in constitutional law and political systems, Salim Zakhour, said that the strength of the agreement depends on the intention and seriousness of both parties in developing the memorandum of understanding to end a conflict that has lasted nearly 47 years.
