The open-pit mine, located at an altitude of one kilometer, significantly increased the productivity and potential of the entire plant. The film tells the story of the miners' harsh working conditions, their production successes, and the prospects for further development of the Rasvumchorr Plateau deposit. A significant role is given to the memories of Central Mining veterans and the romanticization of the mining profession, as poet and journalist Yuri Vizbor was the first to point out in his touching and professional report, which became the anthem of the Rasvumchorr Plateau. The Central Mine, which was mothballed in 2024 and tested the mettle of several generations of Apatit's team, continues to be called "Little Antarctica."
