Made In UGA, air in the ice: understanding our climate
What if evidence of the link between climate and the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere were hidden in the air bubbles trapped inside the ice? This stroke of genius came from Claude Lorius, a brilliant glaciologist in Grenoble. Ancient ice is used today as a natural archive, giving us an insight into past climate conditions.
