The country's large uranium reserves and its suitability for mutual exchange in trade have drawn the attention of companies and states to this region. It is known that Russian, South Korean, Japanese, French and Chinese companies are interested. Kazakh President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev also met with Luc Remont, CEO of the French company Electricite de France. Tokayev spoke at the 36th General Assembly Meeting of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on October 31, 2024.
