Gallopers & 48 Key Marenghi Fairground Organ - Scarborough Fair Collection

This is a lovely example of an old vintage gallopers ride complete with a 48 key Marenghi Fairground Organ which has been in the centre of this ride for many years being owned by the Chipperfield family of Weymouth for a very long time, it left the ride for a few years and was owned by Paul Kirrage for a while and eventually was reunited with the gallopers at Scarborough. It is seen here playing the "Lotus Blossoms Waltz" which is often mis-titled in this country as "The Prince of Wales Waltz". The man in the blue vest and the girl in the light green shirt is my dad and my sister, I was originally going to go on the ride at first but I felt very panicky since the organ almost made me jump!
