The Final Day of the Kansas Birding Road Trip, Heading Home ~ Part 6

We've had our fun, now it's the long drive back home... Although there are some ideas about stopping along the way. Just maybe there are birds still to see? ~ This channel serves as my record and history of the thing I am most passionate about. Birds, Nature, Wildlife, if it's outside and I can take a picture of it, I'm there. I've never been able to fully capture what it feels like, or put it into words. But the process of going outside and spending some quiet time in nature with a camera has fulfilled me to my core in ways that other hobbies have never done. Especially when it comes to birds, identifying them and simply watching their behavior fascinates me. I did this for a time and wrote blog posts telling a bit more than the photos would tell, and moved on from that to video. Both video of the birds and of myself telling these stories. It's been a good number of years of doing this, and I'm still enjoying it just as much as the first time if not even more so. I also enjoy organization quite a bit, so with that in mind I have a few different playlists and separate out videos by how they fit into these. ~ Wildlife Vlogs    • Wildlife Vlogs   The bread and butter, me and some form of recording equipment out in nature exploring the unknown. (to me) Usually reflective after the fact with many tangents and rambling speech. Collections of Wildlife Footage    • Collections of Wildlife Footage   Just video of the wildlife subject. I usually try to put my best effort here in editing and capturing, typically a single subject. Wildlife Clips    • Wildlife Clips   Similar to the last one, but less polished. More ends up here. Story of the Day    • Story of the Day   Looking back over some of the photos I've taken from a particular day and expanding upon the story that they tell. Come Along    • Come Along   I strap a camera to my chest and quietly head out to take pictures of whatever strikes my interest, almost always birds. No talking in this one, just the sounds of the environment I'm in. The Simple Joy of Birding    • The Simple Joy of Birding   Camera strapped to chest, but also mic strapped to face. This is still walking around in nature but I instead try to keep up a running commentary about whatever I see and my thought process. Just the Nature    • Just The Nature   While I'm out recording anyway, I'll usually stick a video camera off to the side and capture long static shots of the nature. Long ambient nature footage lives here. Behind-the-Scenes: Recording Equipment    • Behind-the-Scenes: Recording Equipment   Fairly self explanatory, as much as I like the birds, nature and other wildlife, I'm equally excited by the tools I use. ~ I do this because it fulfills me, it would be amazing to one day turn this into something that also satisfies my financial needs as much as it does my internal ones. But in the meantime I just point cameras at wildlife and nature and hope others get even a small amount of joy out of it as I do. I put extra content out on Patreon, and host photos on my website.
