This turned into our muddiest drive yet - and we were towing the caravan through ruts, tight tracks and muddy crossings that had Kate literally covering her eyes. The journey into Notch Point was equal parts stressful and spectacular… and once we finally rolled in, it instantly became one of the best free camps of our lap. Before that, we stayed at Headlow Creek Reserve - an incredible free camp with campfire vibes and a surprise morning storm. But the reward? Stunning coastline, a cracking campfire and even an unexpected find… a giant whale bone washed up near camp.
