Short Story Summary: Aziz Payidar (Murat Yıldırım), the son of the Payidar family, the largest and only carpet manufacturer in Antakya, lives a life of prosperity and wealth. His fate changes when he kills Lieutenant Andre, the son of the French delegate Monsieur Pierre (Fırat Tanış); he is forced to leave behind his homeland, his one true love, and everything he owns. Two years later, presumed dead, his return is unexpected. Nothing is the same anymore. Aziz has not only lost everything, but Antakya, under French occupation, is in an even worse state than when he left.
