Wireless Boom Microphone setup with the Rode RODElink™ Newsshooter Kit - Wireless XLR Plug-On Demo
Today we're testing out a wireless boom mic setup with the Rode RODElink™ Newsshooter Kit, demonstrating the Digital Wireless XLR Plug-On Transmitter and Camera-Mounted Receiver. The motivation for this demo is aimed at speeding up setup time by eliminating running microphone cables, or using external recorders, in situations where it may be acceptable to simply record audio directly into a Digital Mirrorless Camera or DSLR. We recorded samples using four different microphones to capture a good variety of audio in this practical use-case scenario. Different Mics used in this demo: 00:00 Rode NTG4+ 05:38 Sennheiser MKH50 06:55 Countryman EMW 08:36 Samson Q2U 09:20 Rode NTG4+ (with furry windscreen) 11:02 Sennheiser MKH50 with rain :D Follow us on Instagram @filmrunnermedia
