There are three types of "outdoor" living: in enclosures; in pits; on pasture. If space permits, grazing rabbits on pasture is the most cost-effective in terms of material and labor costs. Essentially, a pasture is a large enclosure with a natural food supply. The main thing here is to provide a high-quality (constant and clean) watering hole, secure fencing, and shelter. Disadvantages of Free-Range Breeding A serious disadvantage of free-range rabbit breeding is the almost complete loss of daily supervision.
