Under His Wings | Songs and Everlasting Joy

What a safe place to be - under the wings of Jesus! He is happy to have us there, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. I'm sure you've all heard the stories of mother hens gathering their chicks during a bush fire or other fire disaster. It has happened that the chicks survived under their mother's wings, even while the mother herself was burnt to death. Doesn't this paint the same picture as Jesus, who, in order to save us from death from sin, put us under His wings and bore the brunt of the sin Himself, laying down His life that we may live? What a picture of love and self-sacrifice! What a story of redemption! Praise God that this story can be ours today! Under His Wings Verse 1 Under His wings I am safely abiding; Though the night deepens and tempests are wild, Still I can trust Him; I know He will keep me; He has redeemed me, and I am His child.
