(Subtitles available; please enable subtitles to view) President Lai Ching-te, during a meeting with the delegation from the "2026 Taiwan Maritime International Forum," stated that facing maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, deepening transnational cooperation and jointly enhancing maritime resilience are directions that all countries must work together towards. Taiwan will continue to share its experience with other countries and establish close and efficient cooperation mechanisms in areas such as maritime law enforcement, maritime search and rescue, and the protection of seabed infrastructure to jointly safeguard a free, open, and safe ocean.
