His R&B-based rock music has influenced numerous musicians and entertainers. With his husky vocals and mewling guitar playing, George Yanagi was nicknamed the "Japanese Clapton." Influenced by The Ventures, he started playing guitar in junior high school. After playing in groups like Powerhouse and The Golden Cups, George Yanagi & Rainy Wood, he went solo. He even performed a joint concert with Ray Charles, known as the "King of Soul." We'll be introducing George Yanagi's illness and final years, his children's current situation, and his will.
